After recovering slightly on Monday, banking sector liquidity fell UAH1.75bn to UAH96.85bn as banks' correspondent accounts with the NBU declined UAH2.52bn to UAH39.83bn while total CDs outstanding rose a mere UAH0.77bn to UAH57.02bn.

Investment implications: Following the completion of tax payments, liquidity remains under the pressure from the FX market as NBU FX sales caused local currency liquidity to decline. The FX market could cause liquidity to decline further, albeit less significantly than it did last week as a result of tax payments. We do not expect liquidity to recover above UAH100bn.
