Banking sector liquidity slightly declined at the end of last week, down UAH1.85bn to UAH117.00bn last Saturday, as banks' correspondent accounts with the NBU fell UAH0.61bn to UAH41.68bn and total CDs outstanding were down UAH1.24bn to UAH75.32bn.

Investment implications: Liquidity declined at the end of last week, partially due to outflows to the NBU via the FX market as the NBU sold a portion of FX from reserves. High liquidity has increased pressure on the FX market and demand for FX remains high this week with a slight liquidity decline expected. Outflows to the budget should also cause liquidity to decline. At the same time, we do not anticipate liquidity to decline below UAH100.0bn this month.
