Key sectors of the economy in June

Per the monthly statistical reports for all sectors of the economy released last week, the table below lists the results of all sectors. The statistical information for June, as well as for 2Q15, shows that economic activity has not begun to recover. From the previous month, the seasonally adjusted index for cargo transportation was down 3.3%, construction rose 5.1%, and industrial production rose a modest 0.7%. The results suggest that 2Q real GDP was negative to 1Q, meaning that the pace of the decline of real GDP appears to have not yet hit a bottom. In our view, 3Q could be declared as the end of Ukraine's recession.
