Ukrainian stocks kicked off the week on a downturn on Monday, May 25. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks slid 0.3%, snapping a four-session win streak. It was pulled down by sugar maker Astarta (AST PW -0.9%) and dairy firm Milkiland (MLK PW -4.7%), which has fallen 6.8% in two sessions. Farmer Industrial Milk (IMC PW) slid 2.0% to return to its all-time low. Outside the index, natural gas E&P Serinus Energy (SEN PW) dropped 3.1%, or 4.6% in two sessions. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index of Kyiv-traded stocks decreased 0.5%, weighed down by power GenCo Donbasenergo (DOEN UK -3.7%). The London Stock Exchange was closed for the spring bank holiday.
