Ukrainian equities were slightly down on Monday, April 13.The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks were down 1.4% after gaining 3.1% the week before. Grain trader Kernel (KER PW) was down 2.7% after closing the previous week basically flat. Sugar maker Astarta (AST PW) slipped 0.4% having gained 11.1% the week before. Illiquid shares of coal miner Sadovaya Group (SGR PW) rose 9.1% after finishing up 19.7% last week. Dairy firm Milkiland (MLK PW) gained 4.4% after having been flat all last week. Outside the Index, natural gas E&P Serinus Energy (SEN PW) inched up 0.3% having been nearly flat in last week’s trading. In London, the most actively traded Ukrainian stock, iron ore miner Ferrexpo (FXPO LN) fell 2.2% after making gains of 6.7% last week. Poultry giant Mironivskiy Hliboproduct (MHPC LI) rose 4.1% finishing 7.1% up on the week. Egg giant Avangardco (AVGR) was up 2.0% and closed last week down 3.0%. The Ukrainian Exchange was closed for the Orthodox Easter Holiday.
