The Warsaw and London exchanges were closed on Friday, April 3 due to Easter Holidays. In Warsaw, its two biggest components were mixed at Thursday’s close. Grain trader Kernel (KER PW) gained 11.2% while sugar maker Astarta (AST PW) was down 3.7%. Illiquid shares of coal miner Sadovaya Group (SGR PW) had an outstanding week gaining 61.6%. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index of Kyiv-traded stocks remained opened and slipped 0.3%, yet managed to close the week with a 3.6% gain. Alchevsk Steel (ALMK UK) was down 0.7% on the day and finished the week with an 11.3% gain. Azovstal (AZST UK) slipped 0.5% and closed the week up 9.2%.

The official rate of Ukrainian hryvnia vs. U.S. dollar was in a narrow range (UAH 23.4-23.5) during the week, and the interbank rate was also close to these numbers.
