Volume was low on Monday, Dec. 24 as Western exchanges shortened their trading sessions for the Christmas holiday. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index slid 0.4%, weighed down by power generators Donbasenergo (DOEN UK -2.0%) and Centerenergo (CEEN UK -1.7%). Ukrnafta (UNAF UK -1.8%) and Ukrsotsbank (USCB UK -0.6%) sunk deeper into their three-year-lows. The Warsaw Stock Exchange was closed for trading. In London, shares of mining company Ferrexpo rebounded 2.9% while the oil stocks fell out of favor: JKX Oil & Gas (JKX LN -2.8%), Regal Petroleum (RPT LN -2.0%) and Cadogan Petroleum (CAD LN -1.7%). Trading will be very thin today on the Kyiv exchange because of the Christmas holiday in the West, where all exchanges will be closed.
