With a few exceptions, Ukrainian stocks showed little activity on Wednesday, Oct. 14. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks declined 1.3%, or 2.4% in two sessions. It was weighed down by sugar producer Astarta (AST PW), which fell 3.1%. KDM Shipping (KDM PW) surged 9.6%, or 38.2% in its four-session hot streak. In London, the most actively traded Ukrainian stock, iron ore miner and pellet maker Ferrexpo (FXPO LN), was unchanged. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index was closed for a national holiday. It reopens today for trading.
