Ukrainian equities drew little interest on Thursday, Oct. 1. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks decreased 0.3%, concluding September at a 1.8% gain. Its biggest component, grain trader and sunflower oil producer Kernel (KER PW), was unchanged, finishing the month at a 7.9% advance. Sugar producer Astarta (AST PW) slid 0.8%, concluding the month at a 7.6% loss. In London, the most actively traded Ukrainian stock, iron ore miner and pellet maker Ferrexpo (FXPO LN), dropped 2.8%, finishing September at a 42.5% plunge. Egg producer Avangardco (AVGR LI) surged 12.5%, concluding the month at a 53.8% advance. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index of Kyiv-traded stocks decreased 0.1%, finishing the month at a 11.0% loss.
