Ukrainian equities moved little on Thursday, Oct. 23. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks fell 1.4%, pulled down by sugar maker Astarta (AST PW -2.2%). The thinly traded shares of steam coal and coking coal producer Coal Energy (CLE PW) and KDM Shipping (KDM PW) each dropped 6.0%. In London, the most actively traded Ukrainian stock, iron ore miner and pellet maker Ferrexpo (FXPO LN), declined 3.2%. Bank of Georgia (BGEO LN +3.3%) has risen 16.8% in five straight positive sessions. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index of Kyiv-traded stocks increased 1.4%, snapping a six-session losing streak during which it fell 3.9%. Power generator Donbasenergo (DOEN UK) gained 4.2%.
