Ukrainian equities improved slightly amongst mixed trading on Tuesday, May 6. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks lost 1.2%. Its biggest component, grain trader and sunflower oil producer Kernel (KER PW) fell 0.6%. The big losers of the day were Milkiland (MLK PW, -7.3%) and Agroton (AST PW, -2.5%). In London, the most widely traded stock, iron ore miner Ferrexpo (FXPO LN) was down 0.5%. The gainer of the day was Regal Petroleum (RPT LN) jumping 6.5% after plummeting 27% in the eight previous trading sessions. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index of Kyiv-traded stocks improved 1.4% after a 7.3% loss in the prior six sessions. The biggest gainer of the day was oil producer Ukrnafta (UNAF UK) gaining 3.9% after losing 15.7 % in the six previous sessions. Also gaining on the day were Alchevsk Iron & Steel (ALMK UK, +3.4%) and Donbasenergo (DOEN UK, +3.2%). There were no real losers on the day in Kyiv.
