Ukrainian equities finished the week ended Friday, March 28 with a sputter. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks slid 1.4%, concluding the week at a 1.7% loss. Its biggest component, grain trader and sunflower oil producer Kernel (KER PW) decreased 2.0%, finishing the week at a 0.2% loss. Coal miner Sadovaya (SGR PW) skyrocketed 22.0%, concluding the week at a 23.5% gain. Outside the Index, Serinus Energy (SEN PW +0.2%) finished the week at an 11.5% advance. In London, the most actively traded stock, iron ore miner Ferrexpo (FXPO LN +1.9%), concluded the week at a 6.3% gain. Cadogan Petroleum (CAD LN) plunged 4.1% to its lowest price since June 2009, finishing the week at a 5.3% loss. In Frankfurt, Mriya Agroholding (MAYA GF) plunged 5.9%, concluding the week at a 8.6% loss. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index of Kyiv-traded stocks dropped 1.3%, extending its cold streak to four sessions at a 4.2% loss. Engine maker Motor Sich (MSICH UK -2.9%) has plummeted 8.9% in five straight negative sessions.
