Ukrainian equities got a boost from positive reports from grain trader Kernel and natural gas producer Serinus Energy. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks rose 1.2%, shadowing the 1.2% jump in Kernel stock (KER PW) after it reported it recovered production during 2QFY14. Sugar producer Astarta (AST PW) improved 3.8%. Declines were led by car battery maker WESTA (WES PW -5.8%), Industrial Milk (IMC PW -4.1%) and Milkiland (MLK PW -3.9%), which has plunged 13.2% in five straight losing sessions. Farmer Agroton (AGT PW-3.3%) has fallen 5.7% in two sessions. Outside the Index, Serinus Energy (SEN PW) surged 8.6% after reporting its higher 2014 CapEx and production expectations. In London, Bank of Georgia (BGEO LN -2.6%) has slid 6.9% in four straight negative sessions. The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index of Kyiv-traded stocks dropped 2.8%, pulled down by Raiffeisen Bank Aval (BAVL UK -4.4%), power generator Centrenergo (CEEN UK -4.0%) and Azovstal (AZST UK -4.0%), which has lost 6.9% in four straight losing sessions.
