The Ukrainian Exchange (UX) Index dropped 1.2% as investors extended its losing streak to five sessions at a 3.5% loss. Leading the losses were UniCredit’s Ukrsotsbank (USCB UK -2.2%) and power generator Centrenergo (CEEN UK -2.0%), which has lost 5.5% in five straight losing sessions. Steel maker Azovstal (AZST UK -1.1%) has slid 8.8% in five straight negative sessions. Investors snapped a five-session win streak for engine maker Motor Sich (MSICH UK -1.5%), during which it gained 10.9%. Outside the Index, chemical producer Stirol (STIR UK) jumped 7.8%. The London and Warsaw stock exchanges were closed for trading on Christmas day. They will reopen today with expected light trading volume through New Year’s Day.
