High level talks between the IMF and Ukraine

Radio Svoboda yesterday reported that President Poroshenko met with David Lipton, first deputy governor of the IMF, and Paul Thomsen, the IMF director of Europe, during which Poroshenko stressed Ukraine's commitment to reforms. Few details were relayed, possibly indicating broad differences between Ukraine's authorities and the IMF, with little positive news. Another weekend report said that the IMF program would resume in early January 2015.
