Banking sector liquidity recovered to above UAH100bn yesterday, for the first time since the beginning of the month. Banks' correspondent accounts with the NBU rose UAH1.02bn to UAH40.24bn and total CDs outstanding increased UAH0.51bn to UAH60.94bn, causing banking sector liquidity to increase UAH1.53bn to UAH101.18bn. This increase should be short-lived as we expect liquidity to decline due to month-end tax payments over the next two days.
