The hryvnia fell just 0.38% yesterday, remaining close to 21/USD. Although authorities are maintaining tight capital controls, some have been phased out carefully as the central bank must appease both the IMF and the Ukrainian populace. The Russian ruble rose to the dollar, recovering just a small portion of the value lost during the past week. The hryvnia's real trade weighted index declined 0.55%.
