As the hryvnia's nominal FX rate has been under devaluation pressure over the past twos months, inflation increased substantially in September. In month-on-month terms, headline CPI rose 2.9% and PPI was up 2.4%. In year-on-year terms, CPI increased above 17% and PPI exceeded 26%. Inflation like this erases all benefits of the FX rate decline that occurred earlier in the year.
