Centrenergo, Donbasenergo to pay out only 30% of income as dividends

On their AGM last week, shareholders of power GenCos Centrenergo (CEEN UK) and Donbasenergo (DOEN UK) voted to distribute 30% of their 2013 profit as dividends This implies Centrenergo will pay UAH 0.40 in DPS (yielding 6.7%) and Donbasenergo will pay UAH 6.74 in DPS (yielding 14.2%). Both companies have accepted that there is a new regulation validated on April 22 that demands companies with state’s stakes to pay 50% of their 2013 income as dividends, and their boards are reportedly ready to consider additional dividend payments later at their EGMs.
