Today's primary auction was announced without any surprises with the usual set of bonds, following the schedule. The MoF will offer five bonds with maturities from three months to 1.5 years. The 3-month and 12-month bonds will be primary placements, while the 6-month, 9-month and 1.5-year bonds will be re-openings of bond issues sold earlier this year.

Investment implications: Due to the month-end tax payments, banks are not expected to buy new bonds. Because of this, demand should be mostly unacceptable for the MoF and only a few bids could be submitted at interest rates within the yield curve. Any demand above the MoF's yield curve, as expected, most likely will be rejected.
