Total CDs outstanding rose UAH1.68bn to UAH73.18bn yesterday after the NBU sold UAH16.84bn of CDs on Wednesday. At the same time, banks' correspondent accounts with the NBU declined UAH1.13bn to UAH29.77bn as banking sector liquidity rose UAH0.55bn to UAH102.94.

Investment implications: Banks continued to purchase CDs as the most available instrument at the market, particularly CDs with redemption next year, increasing these CDs outstanding to UAH27.64bn, or 37.8% of total CDs outstanding. Total CDs outstanding rose to UAH73.18bn, hitting a new record high, where some funds were reallocated from banks' accounts.
