Panama acquires 3 An-158s, option for 12 more by 2015

Ilyushin Finance, a Russian leasing company, signed an agreement to supply three An-158 aircraft to Panama in December 2012-February 2013, Interfax reported yesterday. The agreement includes an option for another seven An-158s and five An-148s by the end of 2014. Both An-148 and An-158 regional jets are equipped with Motor Sich (MSICH UK) D-434-148 engines.

Roman Dmytrenko: The sale of three An-158s to Panama will add Motor Sich an additional USD 13 mln from engine sales to its previously announced USD 800 mln order book for 2012. The possible sale of the remaining 12 aircraft could bring another USD 53 mln in revenues in 2013-2014.
