Khartsyzsk Pipe (HRTR UK) decreased production of large diameter pipes in June 8.2x mom to 2.8 kt. Pipe output in 6M12 fell to 273 kt (-8% yoy).

Roman Topolyuk: The operational results of Khartsyzsk Pipe in June were much lower than we expected. Almost entirely idle capacity for a month is relatively typical for periods between pipeline projects. Given Khartsyzsk’s 6M12 production figure and no apparent new pipeline projects, the plant is unlikely to reach its 2011 output volume of 630 kt this year.
